The Food Network is a cable
television network owned by Scripps Networks. The folks
at "Food" wanted to celebrate a successful
year of reaching more than 50 million viewers, by thanking
the people who helped make it happen — their
affiliates.
How to say
thanks.
Milkshakes. Who doesn't like a good milkshake? The agency working
with the Food Network came up with the very cool idea of sending
each affiliate an electric milk shake mixer and two fountain glasses.
And they threw in four recipe cards for good measure.
Add corrugated,
foam, colorful graphics. Mix well.
An electric mixer and two glasses. Pretty breakable stuff. Not only
did we want to knock people's socks off with the idea, we wanted
everything to get there in one piece and in working order. We opted
to use a 14.5" x 15" x 8" Photo Litho labeled corrugated
box. But before we packed the boxes we tested all the mixers to make
sure they worked. Then we put down 1/2" thick foam over the
top for impact protection. The boxes were then packaged in our shipping
boxes, sealed and delivered Airborne.
